People’s reactions to driving an electric vehicle for the first time

A number of electric vehicle (EV) test drive events have recently taken place in areas around the country with potential My Electric Avenue clusters. Mike Potter from Fleetdrive Electric, who has helped to organise the events, says that people have always reacted extremely positively to their first drive of an electric car.

My Electric Avenue is looking for 100 neighbourly drivers to trial electric cars

In a UK first, ten groups of neighbours are being sought to drive electric cars for 18 months as part of a new trial that will look at ways of managing their impact on the local electricity grid.

My Electric Avenue, an innovative project that aims to provide a solution to the potential impact that the recharging of electric vehicles (EVs) may have on the local electricity network, is now officially underway following final sign-off by Ofgem of the Customer Engagement Plan and Data Protection Strategy.
