Take part in My Electric Avenue’s webinar

My Electric Avenue is collecting data from two domestic trials with electric vehicles (EVs) to understand the potential impact of a large number of EVs charging in the same street at the same time. The project also seeks to test a technology, Esprit, which directly controls domestic EV charging, preventing the local electricity networks from being overloaded. This solution would avoid the need for the costly, time-consuming and disruptive alternative of digging up roads to install new cables.

Following an exciting Christmas and New Year of Esprit activity, My Electric Avenue will be sharing some early results from the winter period by hosting a webinar.

The project has been collecting data from the monitor controllers (equipment in the substations), the Intelligent Control Boxes (or ICBs, installed in participants’ homes) and from the vehicles provided with the trials (telematics data).

Our webinar will share initial findings of the Esprit system working over the winter period, participants’ charging behaviour, as well as progress on network simulations, and social research conducted with trial participants. Finally, the webinar will offer an opportunity for you to ask questions to the project team.
